A lot has been said about 2016, like “whoa, are we in some kind of hellscape?” But joking aside, for the most part (nervous laugh), I can honestly say that for KW Photography, it was a great year. I am forever grateful for my wonderful clients. Their support and enthusiasm keeps me going year after year. I am so excited for what 2017 has in store, but also for what I have planned. It’s been a long time since I worked on any personal projects or documented things going on in my life and I really want to pour more of myself into this blog. That is my resolution; to delve deeper into those forgotten aspects of photography that made me fall in love with it in the first place. To challenge myself more and to grow in new and unexpected ways. Happy New Year, everyone!

This lovely family braved a particularly windy and rainy day for family photos, but try as it might, the weather couldn’t dampen their spirits. Thank you all for being so wonderful to work with, especially as we dodged gusty winds and constant misting. 2016 sessions, that’s a wrap!

“For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.”

The above quote was read during Lara and Jon’s ceremony. As a fan of Carl Sagan, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the familiar and beloved line read aloud. This wedding was a perfect end to my 2016 season. I’m so glad this Dungeon Master met this super kawaii princess; keep the vastness bearable for one anther.

Autumn wedding in Michigan? Yes, please! There really is no other way to describe this day other than perfection. The people were fun and exciting. The venues were gorgeous. The weather was picturesque. Everything you would hope for, it was. I am beyond thankful to have had the chance to work with this couple and know they have an amazing road ahead of them. Courtney and Grant, stay golden.
