State Fair Day is one of my favorite days of the year. It’s the Halloween of summer. 20k steps, tried all the yummy food (THE SMELLS THO), watched pigs race, got THE CUTEST caricature done, and ogled the shiny, colorful, twisted metal and plastic beauty of the fair landscape. The heat and humidity were intense, but our thirst for salt, fat, and Americana were stronger.
